"I cannot fathom any other place being as special!"

There is no denying the beauty of Le Pratola and because we loved it there so very much, I would welcome the opportunity to recommend your home to any potential guests.

Laura is truly a gem. She made Arie and I, as well as our friends, feel so at home. Elena as well, was wonderful and prepared a delicious meal for us.

We have already talked about the possibility of returning next summer as I can’t fathom any other place being as special!!!!

"We loved every moment!"

When one books from a distance, sometimes there is a surprise on the negative side.  In the case of Le Pratola the surprise was a wonderful, WOW!

Your home is wonderful inside out.  During the first week the weather was on the cool side, so when we were home we enjoyed the many different sitting areas throughout.  Susie and I could enjoy each other’s company or find our own, private space.  You filled the home with every comfort and convenience.

But, we have to admit, it is really the outside that really won our hearts.  The sitting areas are varied and all comfortable.  Some are semi private while others offer fabulous views of the beauty of Tuscany.  I personally liked sitting on the deck by the pool any time of day.  As I understand, we were the first to use the heated pool.  Great idea.  Without this new comfort, Susie and I would have had to muster up some extra courage to get in.  The nights have been very cool.

Most of all you and everyone else who touched our adventure were over the top good.  Fiona is one of the most efficient and responsive persons with whom I have ever worked.  Elena, Laura, Monica, Barbara, our cooking class chef, were wonderful, caring, and thoughtful.  Everything came off as planned.  Thanks for the surprise birthday cake for Susie, a true expression of your caring for your guests.

The home and the grounds were always immaculate.

We did not see Francesca other than the first day, but she was gracious upon our arrival.

Then finally, there is you.  It was obvious from your responses to our requests, such as modifying the wine tasting tour, cancelling the bikes, to having Francesca personally show us to the home, to your super fast responses to our questions, that you were going to do everything to make our stay special indeed.  And, of course, you surprised Susie, and I, with a delicious birthday cake…..worth repeating.

We loved every moment!

"A sublime experience in Chianti"

Our group of nine just spent a wonderful week at Le Pratola, near Gaiole in Chianti. The villa is as advertised- beautiful. The surrounding countryside is so enchanting it’s sometimes dream-like, whether it’s in bright sun, or as the sun goes down over the hills, bathing everything in a magical light. We went on day trips to Florence, Sienna and Montalcino, really enjoying the drives.

The best part, though, are the people involved with the Villa. Best ever in terms of service, kindness and skill. Marguerita runs a great show. Francesca met us in Gaiole and guided us up the path to the house. Our favorite was Elena, who cooked us breakfast every morning, and did 4 dinners for us, all different, all locally sourced, all delicious, all done with great grace. Monica cooked us a superb birthday celebration dinner, high end restaurant quality.

It’s hard to imagine anything better, and we will be back for sure.

"Everyone's favorite vacation getaway"

Our family, 8 adults and 4 children have enjoyed 3 beautiful vacations at Le Pratola over the last 5 years. It is the one place everyone enjoys and really loves. I didn’t think it possible but each visit is better than the last. This year every morning began with yoga on the front lawn, followed by breakfast then off to the pool with the grandkids. Some of the adults would go to Siena, Radda or any number of beautiful villages, castles and wineries in the area. Grandma and Grandpa, the smart ones, would stay with the grandkids and enjoy hours of fun by the pool. A family favorite, pool games started at 6 pm every evening. Then it’s time to shower and prepare for a wonderful dinner usually cooked by one of several chefs Margherita will arrange with you. Once everyone is stuffed with the best local Italian food ever and the grandchildren are tucked into bed in their own room the adults meet for drinks, great conversation or just enjoy the sunsets and beautiful night sky. Before anyone realizes it’s time for bed. Each family has their own bedroom and on suite bathroom. My wife and I have slept in 3 of the 5 bedrooms and they are all perfect as is everything at Le Pratola. The property and the owner Margherita are truly world class.

"Home away from home without all the work"

This is our third stay at Le Pratola. We absolutely love the property, the amenities, the scenery, the location- everything! Margherita goes out of her way to make your holiday special. She will have dough for the pizza oven delivered so you do not have to worry about anything. We love having Elena prepare wonderful meals- we love trying to communicate with Lara who comes and tidies in the afternoon. It’s great how 8 adults and 4 children can all stay together and still find places to be alone. We hope to return again, but for next time, 2 weeks!

"My favourite vacation destination"

Our third stay in 5 years at the villa LePratola in Tuscany was, like the previous times, absolutely spectacular. The family members came from Germany, Switzerland and the US – 8 adults and 4 children and we had a wonderful time in the most comfortable house and surrounding area.

I hope we will be able to visit again.

"An incredible experience in beautiful Tuscany"

We stayed here for three weeks and had an amazing time. First of all, it is more lovely than the photos. Everything about Le Pratola is perfection. The views, the staff, The gardens, the lovely decorative touches in the house. Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed by Margherita the owner and the staff. The central location allowed us to explore the local area as well as wander further away and we were alway delighted to return to our refuge, le Pratola, high in the hills of Tuscany, to enjoy the pool, views and amenities of this beautiful villa.

"Excellent. The villa was everything we had hoped for."

Great location close to Rhadda, Gaiole, Sienna. Perfect size for 5 couples. Large bedrooms with ensuites. Big modern kitchen & dining room, dish washer, washer & dryer, wi-fi, games room, TV room, Barbeque, large yard. Very clean. I don’t think that we could have asked for anything more. A lady met us in Gaiole, gave us the key, showed us to the villa and opened it up for us. Service was excellent. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Owner was great to deal with.

"Exceeded our highest expectations!"

The villa was absolutely spectacular! It looked wonderful from the website, but it was even more wonderful in person. The villa is extremely well maintained & Margherita was truly a pleasure to work with – she was incredibly responsive, exceptionally helpful, and clearly loves the villa. The location and setting were phenomenal. The staff was so sweet and helpful, and they really took wonderful care of us. One can tell that great care and attention was given to every little detail in the villa so as to make it comfortable and elegant, but very homey and fun. We could not have asked for a more ideal vacation!

"Heavenly oasis in Chianti"

Le Pratola (also called Villa Senese on some websites such as LaCure) is an amazing home on top of a private secuded hillside in Chianti. We recently stayed there for a week for an extended family get together (4 generations, ages 4-75). The Villa is even more breathtaking in person than the gorgeous web photos suggest. We were spread out in 5 bedrooms, each with complete privacy and luxurious accomodations. There are lots of comforts available- infinity pool overlooking vineyards, billiards table, a variety of comfortable living rooms and sitting areas, both indoors and out. Better than any 5 star hotel we have stayed at!

The concierge service is fantastic! We arranged mask making in Florence for the children, an Italian cooking class, as well as a wonderful dinner cooked for us in the villa. All was done efficiently and easily.

Our week flew by, and we all adored the Villa. Nice surrounding area for runs (nice 5 mile loop from the villa through vineyards) and a quick 10 minute drive to Gaiole for shops, restaurants, bank, etc…

We highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a luxury stay in Chianti/Tuscany and will definitely be back.

“Luxury villa with panoramic view of vineyards & the Chianti Hills”

If you are looking to rent a gorgeous villa in Tuscany look no further, you’ve found the right place…. Le Pratola is a lovely property with a spectacular view of the Chianti hills and surrounding vineyards. Le Pratola has been beautifully restored by Margherita and her husband with meticulous attention to detail. Pictures shown on the website is spot on, beautiful interior and exterior. Daily service by a housekeeper and gardener keeps the property in fabulous order.

I communicated regularly with Margherita before our arrival and during our stay – she is gracious, helpful and extremely accommodating ensuring we had everything we needed and also recommended places to visit. Le Pratola is ideal for visitors who love Tuscany and are regulars to this region as well as those who have never been to this region as Margherita can help to coordinate any activity. During your stay, I recommend taking advantage of in-villa dining, and one of the staff will prepare amazing Tuscan dinners and or lunch. Next time I am booking more in villa dining.

It’s also a place to take advantage of relaxing on the grounds – go for a run or walk, use the pool, or relax in the hammock with a book. Every night our group cooked dinners at Le Pratola dining al fresco overlooking the hills or in the backyard, and even inside a couple of times in the dining room.

Being a regular traveler with high standards, I VERY much enjoyed my stay here and am communicating this on behalf of our whole group – it’s a beautiful and wonderful place that I would highly recommend and deem as 5 stars.

“Wonderful 10 day stay at incredible villa in Tuscany”

Le Pratola was an incredible experience for our entire family. The villa is large and well appointed. Spent many hours relaxing by the infinity pool or in one of the many outdoor seating areas, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and breathtaking views.

Close proximity to some charming little medieval villages, wineries/castles, as well as Florence and Siena. Margherita and her staff are very kind and extremely helpful. They provide a wealth of information on tours, cooking options and highlights of the area. We had the pleasure of a cook in house for two evenings. The aroma of her Italian dishes throughout the villa was heavenly!
We highly recommend this villa and hope to return someday soon.

“Experience Le Pratola: a private Tuscan Villa in Chianti”

Villa Le Pratola offers a truly Italian experience in the Chianti countryside of Tuscany. Relax in the infinity pool and enjoy spectacular views of the countryside vineyards and beautiful sunsets. The panoramic windows in the Villa offer magnificent views, and the remote location assures privacy.

The kitchen is a well stocked, comfortable space for preparing meals or just gathering to sample local wines. Laura is in the villa two hours daily to organize and clean the common areas and even though we spoke different languages there was no problem communicating. Margherita, the owner was only a phone call away and answered emails promptly. You will need to have a car available for trips to Gaiole and for any possible emergency.

Margherita offers a wonderful concierge service and we found her prices to be competitive with comparable services that we researched on line. Give the cookery class a try-Its fun, challenging and the food and recipes are great. Ciao!

“Real Life... Under the Tuscan Sun”

My family and I spent one week in this fabulous villa. The villa and the surrounding property are magnificent.

Margherita made every effort to maintain communication throughout our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. She helped arrange so much for us … transportation for sightseeing, reservations at restaurants, babysitter, car rental, and recommendations of things to do.

One of the very biggest highlights of our stay was having this fabulous, adorable little Italian woman come in to cook meals for us. We loved everything that she made and would have loved to have her there every night. Her cooking was a real treat enjoyed outdoors with the vineyard as our background.

I very much liked that we had another lovely caring Italian lady that came in every day to clean the downstairs of the villa ( we added that she also do the upstair bedrooms and baths as an extra charge ). It represented to me that Margherita took prided in her villa and making sure her guests were cared for and comfortable.

I think it is very important to know, however, that the location is somewhat isolated and that you do need a car to get around. I had no idea where I was and it took a bit to figure that out and feel comfortable. I probably should have done my homework before arriving but it all worked out.

Thanks for a lovely holiday Margherita!!!

“Outstanding - Fabulous - Amazing Property”

Our stay at Le Pratola was a highlight of our Italian trip this fall. The property is so beautifully maintained with amazing views. The rooms are large and comfortably appointed. We were thrilled with the support and assistance we received during our stay. We hope to return again.

“Unforgettable Vacation”

My family and I (six of us) stayed at Le Pratola for a week in June. We had such a great time. The villa is beautiful and comfortable, and the views of the Tuscan hills are stunning.

The team at Le Pratola is amazing. Laura, the cleaning lady, is a doll. The cooking class with Barbara is so much fun! Elena and Monica’s (the personal chefs) meals are delicious. The villa is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We all had the best vacation!

We will definitely recommend the villa to family and friends. It was the best trip we’ve ever been on! We would like to thank the team at Le Pratola for making our vacation to Tuscany so special.

“Idyllic stay in very comfortable, beautifully furnished house”

Driving up to La Pratola you get a great view of the house as you climb the hill to it, but nothing could have prepared us for the amazing view back down the hill and across the valley from the infinity pool. Breathtaking.
We were supplied with amazing food and service by a really sweet lady who looked after us well, whilst also discretely blending in, never making us feel self-conscious, and the maid service was excellent.

Nearby Gaiole has all you could need, and is pretty, but Florence and Siena are wonderfully close by for a day trip.

There are good walks and bike rides ( or runs) straight out from the house, but we just wanted to chill out by the pool or in the lovely courtyard most of the time.

The Interior is very comfortably furnished to a high standard, with plenty of places for people to relax, so if you are in a big group it works well to go off and do you own thing for a while – the upstairs living room is great- huge squishy leather sofas and a big screen TV. We particularly enjoyed the pool table too.

We weren’t disappointed by La Pratola and would happily go back there again.

“Truly the Luxury Tuscan Experience!”

Easily the most relaxing and rewarding holiday of my life. If I had ever imagined staying in the epitome of a luxurious Tuscan villa, then Le Pratola surpassed my wildest expectations. The blue, blue sky over the pristine hills of Chianti were a breath taking backdrop to days spent lazing by the infinity pool. The evenings started with sundowners on the back lawn followed by course after course of Nonna Elena’s delicious Italian fare. And the wine…

We took advantage of the cooking course with the lovely Barbara and were not disappointed. Making pasta by hand while looking out on the ancient stone courtyard is a once in a lifetime experience, especially for someone who loves to cook. As a cyclist, the numerous uphill climbs were rewarded by a silky espresso in the many small towns around the area. And I would highly recommend a trip to the butcher in Gaiole for some Fiorentina steaks. Weighing in at a kilo each they are unbelievably succulent cooked on open coals in the courtyard and enjoyed with a bottle (or two) of the local Brolio.

The love and care that has gone into bringing this beautiful house back to its stunning 400 year old glory is evident inside and out. It truly is the luxury Tuscan experience!

Margherita, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.

“A truly wonderful holiday!”

We spent two weeks at Le Pratola in august 2011. It was a big family holiday with our two young children (aged 2 and 4 years), my husbands parents from India and family and friends. It was more than just a holiday, it was an experience: beautiful house, stunning landscape and delicious food.

The house has been beautifully restored and maintains it’s original features together with a contempory feel.

The house is well placed, the local town (Gaiole) is just a 10 mins drive away (has a good supermarket) and there are lots of lovely little towns within 30 mins drive that are worth a visit:Castellina,Radda. Sienna is also only 30 mins away and is great for shopping.

The house has all you need for young children (cots, high chairs, pushchairs, toys etc) so you can travel relatively light! We also used the babysitter recommended by the owner and she was very good.

Highlights of the holiday; relaxing by the pool, having dinner cooked by the amazing cook “Elena” (food was delicious and made from local produce)and a trip to the vineyard “Casanova”. Whilst there are vineyards closer, it is well worth driving 45 mins to Casanova as it was brilliant. We booked a tour of the vineyard (they make not just wine but balsamic vinegar, honey and lots more!) The lunch was amazing and the owner Silvano was so interesting that you come away inspired!

“Fantastic!”

We visited Le Pratola as a family of 8 for our parents 40th wedding anniversary and the trip was truely memorable for all of us. The property is beautiful inside and out. It has everything you need for adults and children. It is set in olive groves and vineyards. The views of the surrounding countryside are stunning with amazing sunsets over the infinity pool and the atmospheric morning mist in the valley below.
The villa is in an ideal location to visit nearby attractions such as Castello di Meleto and Castello di Brolio. Siena, San Gimignano and Florence are also within easy reach. Gaiole in Chianti is just a few minutes drive away and has all the amenities you need i.e. pharmacy, supermarket, restaurant, bank etc. Radda and Castellina in Chianti are only 20-30mins drive away and have a good choice of shops and restaurants.

The choice of services at the villa are excellent too, we made use of Elena as our cook and she prepared some fabulous meals. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate a family event and what made is easier was having Margherita’s help with local knowledge and making it a seamless holiday. We would definitely return!

“Perfection in Tuscany”

After looking at many villas in Tuscany but not quite finding the right one, a friend highly recommended Le Pratola, as soon as we saw the pictures we booked immediately and we weren’t disappointed!

The setting is so private and peaceful with the most amazing views from every window. The villa itself is stunning with the perfect balance of modern, high quality decor and rustic charm. We were a party of 10 with 6 adults and 4 children and there was more than enough space for all of us. The children particularly loved the pool, the view from here is beautiful.

One of the main things that made this holiday so perfect was the attention to detail from Margherita the villa owner who was incredibly helpful. The additional services she arranged for us were amazing, including in-villa dining, a cookery course and several tours. Elena was our chef for a couple of evenings and her meals were some of the best we have ever had in Italy. Our housekeeper, Laura, was also delightful.

We certainly hope to return one day, Le Pratola was truly wonderful. Thank you.

“Tuscany at its best!”

We are back home in Canada and just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at Le Pratola. The villa was beautiful and the views breathtaking. We enjoyed a few glasses of wine by the pool and many delicious dinners al fresco. Laura’s housekeeping skills were excellent and Elena’s dinners were absolutely delicious. Elena was a true joy.

We will miss her. We also had a lot of fun with Barbara and Brian during the cooking class. And last but not least we enjoyed the tours with alessandra and Michele who were both charming and informative. Thanks for all your help in organizing this true Tuscan experience for us.

Susie, Canada

“Perfection in Toscana”

Idyllic is a much over-used word, but in the case of Le Pratola it is absolutely appropriate. The setting of the villa is as near to perfect as any place I have ever stayed. If you have a picture in your head of the stereotypical Tuscan location than Le Pratola probably ticks all of those boxes. Hilltop location? Tick. 360′ panoramic views? Yep. Wonderfully set between ancient olive groves, and fragrant vineyards? You bet. Peaceful, and private yet only 10 minutes drive from town? It has that too. In fact it has everything. And you can take it in from the edge of the wonderful relaxing infinity pool, and pool area.

We stayed at Le Pratola in July 2012, as a mixed group with teenage children. The villa provided more than enough accommodation for all of us to enjoy our holidays without being on top of one another. One of the best things about Le Pratola is the varied accommodation that it offers. The fact that it is immaculately presented, wonderfully designed, with stunning furniture and art is almost secondary. If there is a fault – and this is really trying – it is that the photos do not capture the scale of the villa. It really is a big place.

Predominantly this was a cycling holiday, and the reputation of Tuscany as the home of choice for the professional peloton is easy to understand after a holiday in Le Pratola. The roads around the villa are quiet, well surfaced, and able to provide cycling to suit all abilities. We found climbs of varying severity up to 8km long within an hour or so ride of “home”. Motorists are courteous, and even the heat was not overly suppressive, as many of the rides have shelter in the trees. As a cycling destination, Tuscany really is God’s own country.

Le Pratola really is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The style, size, location, quality, service, and vista are all beautifully thought out and resolved. Dare I say, if you are looking for the perfect idyllic holiday location then Le Pratola is it.
