Newly restored and reopened, the estate is a perfect blend of contemporary comforts and traditional luxuries ‘alla bella vita’ with panoramic views over noble vineyards, silver olive groves and wild oak forests.
THE ESTATE
The authentic Tuscan farmhouse and granary accommodate up to 14 guests. Lovingly restored in 2017, the estate features an authentic working Tuscan fireplace from the Middle Ages, an outdoor swimming pool (heated) and a custom designed chef kitchen.The interiors feature a maze-like succession of open and intimate spaces filled with an abundance of natural sunlight. Finely crafted Tuscan antiques were sourced from around the region and refurbished including the custom-made hand-carved wood furniture and fine artefacts – large mirrors, elegant tables, chairs, sideboards, and hand-carved wood and wrought iron chandeliers. The estate neighbours on some of the most prestigious wine producers in Tuscany. Just down the road is Fonterutoli, a historic hamlet where visitors can opt for a tasting at the Mazzei family winery, in the business of Chianti Classico for centuries. In the opposite direction lies Castellina in Chianti, a charming town with plenty of activities to merit multiple visits. Enjoy a stroll through the town’s medieval tunnel followed up by shopping the many bottegas and a trip to a favourite local gelateria. In the summer months, the town’s streets and open piazzas are the perfect setting for a delicious dinner immersed in scenes of true Tuscan life.
